Welcome to the 2137 Calgary Highlanders Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps! We meet on Thursday nights from 6:15PM to 9:30PM at Mewata Armouries, 801 11th Street SW. This is the castle-like building next to the old Science Center. We typically hold an Open House the third week in September to give new parents and youth an overview of the Army Cadet program, what differentiates us from other corps in Calgary, and see our corps in action.
Interested youth will have the opportunity to see first hand some of the activities we offer, hear our cadets speak about their experiences, and ask any and all questions they might have about the program. New parents will get to meet the staff and our parent/community support group, enjoy some light refreshments, and also hear from our cadets on how the cadet program has impacted their lives.
We take applications year round, so if you miss our Open House, please come down on another Thursday night and we will be more than happy to take you on a tour of our facilities and answer any questions you may have!
